Web Development Boot Camp
January 24, 2011.
Manta Technologies Inc. announces the availability of a new four-day, blended learning experience, the Web Development Boot Camp. This workshop combines instructor-led sessions with Manta’s exclusive IBM i simulator and the Manta Training Forum to provide in-depth training and peer networking that continues when the student is back on the job. The boot camp should be attended by anyone responsible for implementing an organization's web site using an IBM i system.
The workshop covers everything you need to implement a web-based application using your existing IBM i system. The workshop progresses from a survey of ebusiness technologies (including HTTP, HTML, CGI programs, Java Server Pages, enterprise Java beans, application servers, XML, XSL, UDDI, WSDL, and SOAP) to detailed guidelines for creating your own web documents using HTML, cascading style sheets, and JavaScript. From there, it shows how to create server-based applications using CGI programs written in RPG and how to use Ajax techniques to enhance the user’s web experience. By the end of the workshop, you will have the skills you need to develop the HTML pages and forms that are used in typical ebusiness web sites. You will also be able to set up the IBM HTTP Server for i (powered by Apache) to run a typical web site.
The workshop is scheduled for April 18-21, 2011, in Denver, CO. The price is $2,395 per person. For more information, contact Manta at (800) 40-MANTA (800-406-2682). International customers can call (303) 862-4562.
